Retrospective
On the 18th and 19th of March 2023 at our newly opened Pavilion Bukit Jalil Branch, BUMP Bouldering ran our second ever Volume Control, an internationally focused bouldering competition aimed at attracting climbers across Southeast Asia and beyond to come compete in Malaysia.

This year, VC2023 featured as the final leg of a 3-Part competition series run by the SEA Boulder League, with its first two legs kicking off in Singapore hosted by Boulder Planet and the second in Thailand hosted by Rock Domain.
​
The conclusion of the competition saw the best climbers in Southeast Asia battle it out both for the medals of Volume Control but the top spots of the League overall.
​
It has been BUMP's privilege to play host to such dedicated athletes and all the budding competitors who joined our team climb categories. We'd also like to thank all the competition partners and volunteers who helped us make it happen.
We hope you all had a ton of fun and look forward to doing this again; bigger and better in the future!

Founded in 2019, SEAClimbing is an organization dedicated to the progression of competitive climbing in the Southeast Asia region. Their goal is to create a structured platform for international competitions to take place at a standard elevated above local expectations.

In addition to scoring and coordination of all the league partner organizers, SEAClimbing also provided the training, technical and material support to make the high standard of competition possible.
